Top Load or Front Load Washers?

Front Load Washers
Front Load Washers are the clear winner when it comes to energy efficiency and cost savings because they require less water and power to run them. They are also an ideal choice because they can be placed in apartments, condos and anywhere laundry needs to be done on the go.
Choosing a front load washer makes smart business sense, especially when it comes to overall efficiency and return on investment, but don’t rule out top load washers because, they can also offer ROI when it comes to serving large commercial clients like hotels and hospitals.
- Cleaning & Fabric Care: They use a tumbling motion and gravity rather than aggressive agitators, providing superior stain removal while being much gentler on clothes.
- Efficiency: They use 40–50% less water. Because they spin at higher RPMs, they extract much more moisture, dramatically reducing dryer time and energy use.
- Design & Space: Can be stacked with a matching dryer to save floor space in smaller homes or closets.
- Downsides: Tend to have higher upfront costs. Their tightly sealed doors can trap moisture, requiring you to leave the door ajar and occasionally wipe the gasket to prevent mold and odors.
Choosing a top load vs. front load washer should be based the specific needs of your business but energy efficiency and water usage also play a factor in your decision, especially considering that utility costs are on rise nationwide, so it’s important to choose the right machine that will meet your business needs.
