Superior Targets Laundromats with24/7 Car Cleaning Tower with Charger

With a target market of laundromats, condominiums, convenience stores and other self-serve retail businesses, Superior Car Wash Systems has created the Charge-Vac-N-Go, a freestanding, unattended elevated tower unit combining consumer ease of car charging and vacuuming with 24/7 availability. The goal of the tower is to convert unused parking lot or curb space into a new profit center for the laundromat, according to Martin Geller of Superior.

“The consumer is at the laundromat, waiting for their load to finish. They already have cleaning on their mind, why not take care of their car during this idle time,” Geller suggests.

The tower has cashless payment systems which can tie into the laundromat’s existing business software. It also has other protection to reduce unanticipated maintenance due to vandalism and collision and is lighted to help improve parking lot observation and security at night. Geller added that the laundromat does not need to add staff to maintain the cleaning tower or retrieve payments since the tower is cashless. No additional staff contains costs yet adds a new revenue stream to the laundromat, Geller remarked.

“The EV market continues to grow and we see this combination tower unit as an excellent profit center for laundromats and others,” Geller said. “The Charge-Vac-N-Go can instantly turn unused curb space into a complete car care profit center.”

The tower unit has an LED lighted canopy containing attention-grabbing Charge-Vac-N-Go graphics, or an operator can customize the tower with existing laundromat branding, expanding the store’s marketing message into the parking lot beyond the building. Island components, manufactured from 304 corrosion-resistant stainless steel, include a multi-stage vacuum, air pump and fast three-phase charger.

The island and canopy measure 114 inches long x 38 inches wide x 125 inches tall. An 18-inch base lifts components above the parking area. A round 18-inch base is available if an operator desires to mount a 52-inch vacuum or trash can separately. Eight-inch round, 4-foot tall bollards are available to further protect the tower from stray vehicles or laundry carts. An optional aerial LED solar light and tower can provide additional security and light the surrounding parking area. Components can be purchased separately.

The vacuum can be equipped with a wand which will reach over and around a vehicle, making interior cleaning easier for the consumer. The overhead wand also keeps the hose off the ground, alleviating potential tripping hazards. The multi-stage vacuum prevents clogging which reduces maintenance visits. Operators should check with their utility company for electric car charging costs.

Custom colors, including white, green, red, blue and yellow, and matching decals are available for the component tops, the tower header and base bumpers.

Each tower component offers credit card pay options which can connect to the retailer’s existing cash management system for ease of business operations. Cashless payments reduce the potential of theft and vandalism.

Financing options are available for qualifying operators.
