Crown Linen Celebrates Grand Opening of New Pompano Beach Facility

Crown Linen, a trusted commercial laundry provider serving upscale hotels throughout Florida and Georgia, celebrated the grand opening of its new 50,000-square-foot facility in Pompano Beach on Thursday, July 30. Crown Linen’s team was joined by local dignitaries, business leaders and other community members for commemorative speeches, a traditional ribbon cutting and facility tours.

With the capacity to process approximately 30 million pounds of laundry annually, the Pompano Beach location is among the largest purpose-built commercial laundries in the region. The new facility strengthens Crown Linen’s ability to serve hotels and resorts throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties, from newly developed properties to established hotels repurposing existing on-site laundry space for revenue-generating uses. Current hotel partners include Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel and Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort, among other leading properties across South Florida.

Equipped with cutting-edge machinery and advanced automation, the facility enables faster, high-volume processing and reduced water and energy usage, while supporting Crown Linen’s commitment to reliable, consistent service customized to the needs of each hotel. Highlights include:

• Two Jensen tunnel washers capable of handling large quantities of hotel linens with a gentle, fabric-friendly wash that reduces wear compared with conventional hotel washers.
• Advanced ironing and folding machines for sheets, pillowcases, napkins, and towels, using automated folding and laser-guided technology for precise and consistent finishing.
• An automated, ceiling-mounted rail system that transports linens throughout the facility, improving speed and workflow compared to manual carts.
• Specialized washers dedicated to smaller, specialty loads such as spa and food-and-beverage linens

Along with supporting the region’s hotels and resorts, the expansion adds approximately 150 new jobs to the area, providing new employment opportunities for residents and reinforcing Crown Linen’s role as an active contributor to the Pompano Beach business community. Together with Crown Linen’s existing Miami operation and multi-plant network throughout Florida, the new facility will help hotels maintain consistent linen service during peak periods and other operational challenges.
